WAX MELT & CANDLE CARE
At Birks & Amber, we want to ensure that you fully enjoy our products, therefore we have prepared some simple guidelines to get the most out of your purchase.
WAX MELT CARE

Remove all packaging and place one of our generously sized wax melts in your melt burner

You can use either an unscented tealight or an electric burner

Ensure that your burner is sitting on a level, flame resistant surface

When in use do not leave your burner unattended

We recommend that you do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time

Keep out of the reach of children and pets

Each of the melts will release fragrance for a maximum of 7-10 hours

If your burner becomes hot do not touch whilst there is heated wax in the well as hot wax can burn

Allow to cool when finished using

Once all fragrance has evaporated there will be a little leftover wax. Let this cool and then scoop it out and place in the bin. Do not attempt to wash the heated wax down the sink
CANDLE CARE

The first burn is the most important.

Let your candle burn all the way to the edge of the jar, this prevents your candle from tunnelling and ensures and even burn throughout.

Your candle is made of 100% natural wax and luxury fine fragrances which may cause the wick to ‘mushroom’. This is normal, gently remove this by trimming your wick to be around 5mm before each burn.

Always burn your candles on even and fire resistant surfaces, ensure its away from flammable items, burn within sight, away from ddraughts and never leave unattended. When the candle is down to 1cm discontinue use.

If you can, avoid blowing out the candle and use a snuffer instead. This will avoid excess smoke that takes away from the lovely scent that has been defused throughout your room.
